Who I am.
Josh Leeper is an actor, voice artist, producer, and arts leader based in Chicago.
Born and raised in Fairmont, West Virginia, Josh discovered early that storytelling could build bridges between people from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. That belief continues to guide his work today.
Over the past 25 years, Josh has built a career spanning theatre, film, commercial work, voiceover, and creative producing. His work has taken him from community stages in Appalachia to professional productions in Chicago, where he has spent the last 13 years developing his craft and contributing to one of the country's most vibrant artistic communities.
In addition to his work as a performer, Josh is the Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of A Short Leap Theatre Company, a nonprofit organization dedicated to producing bold stories, fostering artistic collaboration, and creating opportunities for emerging and established artists alike.
Whether he's directing a rehearsal, recording in a voice booth, performing on stage, or producing a new play, Josh is most interested in stories that explore connection, resilience, humor, and hope.
When he's not creating, you'll likely find him running, making music, watching a basketball game, or spending time with his wife and cat.

A few things about me:
I've run multiple marathons and still think they're slightly easier than producing independent theater.
I believe great art starts with curiosity.
I love gathering people around a table, whether it's for a rehearsal, a fundraiser, a game night, or a conversation that lasts longer than expected.
When opportunities don't exist, my instinct is usually to build them.
I make music under the name Quantum Leeper.
I live in Chicago with my wife and our cat, ‘The Beebs’, who remains unimpressed by every professional accomplishment I've ever had.
